deviantART is graced with some really good artists. Because of this, I decided to do a little occasional series of articles, each profiling a really good artist who has his or her work on dA. This isn't an "unknown" artists feature; there will be varying degrees of popularity, both on dA and the in art world in general.
The first artist I'm featuring is Canadian painter Sarah Joncas, known here as ~TeaPartyGirl. Although very young, Joncas's body of work is quite impressive. She's making waves in the art world, especially in the pop surrealism crowd, for her eye-catching, surreal paintings, which often feature a single woman. Common themes in her work include loss, isolation, technology, and the environment. She is already the veteran of numerous group shows (she has been in a few with `jasinski), has an upcoming couple show with Camilla d'Errico at Thinkspace, a solo show in 2009, and was interviewed in Metro.Pop. And she's just 21!
